This is the tone in which the celebrant sings the Formula Salutationis III (or Formula Salutationis III), taken from the Graduale Romanum (1974), page 799. It is the simplest of the formulas that can be used.

The Pax vobis part is the formula used in the Holy Mass when presided over by a Bishop.
